We begin the Liberal Party's 63rd year, with a strong commitment to maintaining an informative, substantive and vibrant website, providing much deeper and broader information than we have in the past. We don't make this commitment lightly. This website is our strongest link to the tens of thousands of Liberal Party supporters in New York State and in the region. We can make effective use of it to share our reconstruction of the Liberal Party's programs and policies, reminding those who know and those who have yet to learn, exactly what 'liberalism' is, what it has done to make these 60 years the golden age of America, and what it needs to do to help America retain the best of itself now and in the future.

In the months ahead, we will examine the state and nation's most important programs - what they are now and how they must be changed to work much better. We will state our ideas for change as clearly and as forcefully as we can. We will develop new policies and with them, a political program that we believe merits the true meaning of 'liberal' and what liberalism will do for the continued progress of this nation.

The campaign for President in 2008 has begun early in 2007. While we will make no effort to keep up with the constant barrage of words and pictures and new contenders that will be everywhere in the months ahead, we will share those views and issues from candidates which we see as having genuine merit and being worthy of serious consideration.

Offering those programs for your consideration does not necessarily mean that we endorse the programs or the candidates at this point - just that we want to share those that seem to have promise in their ideas and direction.George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-four is a classic treasure.

One of the strange things about it, is that in today’s world, it is believed by many people that this book reflects the attitude of the Republicans and Conservatives. When I was younger, and a member of the Liberal party myself, this is what I was taught. Without giving it much thought, this is what I believed.

But just like Winston, the main character in this novel, there was always this small voice inside of me that told me there was something wrong with this picture. With the constant cadence from the media, Hollywood, and my teachers that Conservatism was evil, it was hard to put my finger on it. Then it hit me; this constant barrage was the Two Minute Hate that Orwell was depicting in his novel! Through these mediums, I had prostituted my mind into the Liberal Party.

The party has three mottos: Your Enemy is Your Friend Treason is Patriotism Surrender is Victory The Ministry of Truth The Ministry of Truth is composed of the main stream media, Hollywood and the University. The main purpose of these institutions is to erase the past, and distort the present in the minds of the population.
